Building a successful new WordPress theme shop is no easy undertaking these days in such a crowded and competitive marketplace. Cubic Themes is one company from Indonesia trying to break into the market with their variety of “premium” WordPress themes.
According to their website Cubic Themes are:
“a group of designer and programmer team who make a beautiful and high quality WordPress Theme that suits to any kind of your website”.
They launched in May 2013 and currently have 2 commercial WordPress themes for sale: Workchaos – a business style theme and, Sayscheese – a photography theme. They are priced at $49 and $39 each respectively.

The two themes have all the usual features you would expect in a commercial WordPress theme such as an options panel, some custom post types and page templates, custom shortcodes and widgets, colour scheme options, a retina ready responsive layout and more. Like all good WordPress theme shops the themes are licensed under the GPL general public license.
While the themes seem to have a decent set of features, unfortunately in my opinion the designs are nothing special and even seem a bit dated.
For a new shop to be successful in the saturated and competitive premium WordPress theme marketplace they really need to stand out with some unique and high quality themes. That’s not easy!
