iThemes have released a commercial plugin called Billboard that allows you to easily add images to your sidebars. You can use the Billboard plugin to add:
- Advertisements
- Photo galleries
- Social icons to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
- Profile photos of your blog authors
- Affiliate products promoted on your blog
